Catherine Gates is a senior director of content and partnerships for WorkMatters, a marketplace ministry that has been helping people pursue God's purpose for their work since 2003. Catherine believes that a Christian who is spiritually authentic will not only study God's Word, but will apply it to all of life, while humbly seeking accountability and support. She is on the board of Ladies of Grace, a women’s prison ministry; on the leadership team for Christian Women in the Workplace; and a member of the Women’s Empowerment Center Executive Advisory Council. One of her favorite verses is Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Catherine is married and has a 25-year-old son.
This Long Island native also believes spiritual authenticity means not being afraid to stand up for your Christian values, even when it's not popular, giving credit to God for your successes, and being willing to admit mistakes.
