Adversity Builds Character! Elaine Kung shares how God used adversity to build character and bring Matthew 10:16 to life in her career.

Elaine Kung grew up in a poor family in Hong Kong, immigrated to Maryland as a teenager.
Since God changed her life as a born-again Christian in 1981, she has been passionate
serving in evangelism, discipleship, workplace and family ministries. She is frequently
invited to speak on faith and work, leadership, career, marriage, parenting, STEM and various life skills for all ages in the States and overseas. Elaine met Dominic, her husband since 1986, at Cornell University where she earned her B.S. in Electrical & Materials Science Engineering. AT&T sponsored her M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Princeton, and a few Executive Education programs at Columbia, Cornell and Wharton business schools. Elaine retired from AT&T as Product Director, after 33 years of a rewarding career, received various industry awards. Elaine was installed as an Elder in 2012 at the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church in NJ. While serving at Rutgers Community Christian Church in NJ, she founded Called To Work marketplace ministry in 1996 with conferences and resources to encourage people to take Jesus to work and thank God it’s Monday. She serves as a Board Director for organizations like CEO Global USA, Dallas Theological Seminary – Hendricks Leadership Center Advisory Board, New Hope Compassion, The Cultivation Project. Elaine’s family resides in San Diego, they have two adult children.
