Show Notes

Kim Williams is known by many names including wife, mom, speaker, blogger, change-agent, and CEO.   She describes herself simply as “an ordinary woman with an extraordinary God”. As a change management expert, she has spent the last 20 years helping struggling nonprofits, visionary leaders, and underserved clients to maximize seasons of change. Kim has launched a start-up that gained national recognition for transitioning hundreds of families from welfare to work.  She also oversaw the expansion of the NewYork based New Teacher Project into Texas opening four offices in four cities in less than one year.  As the Director of Community Outreach for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, she consolidated five underperforming community outreach programs into one high functioning team that served over 14,000 girls across 20 counties.

However, her work as a change-agent is best exemplified in her most recent role as CEO of Interfaith Family Services, a Dallas nonprofit dedicated to empowering homeless families to overcome poverty.  At the onset of her tenure, Interfaith faced a $500,000 deficit, a 40% graduation rate, and issues with aging facilities. As a result of Kim’s God-given vision for transformation, Interfaith is now the area’s outcome leader with amazing results including an 80% graduation rate. Interfaith is poised for greater impact thanks to the recent completion of an $11 million capital campaign. Its expanded campus consists a three-story Adult Education Center for parents, a three-story Childcare & Youth Services Center for children, and an apartment complex to house homeless families.  This new center will empower 300 families a year to work their way out of poverty while their children receive the education necessary to break its cycle.

Kim would be the first to tell you that change is challenging. But, she whole-hearted believes that impacting the world is worth it.  That is why she is committed to empowering leaders to do what is difficult to achieve what is great.
